As we enter the final days of National Dairy Month, we can’t help but think about the many dairy-focused clients we’ve worked with recently. Our dairy work in the past year includes flash mobs to promote cheese, leveraging sports sponsorships with TV spots, using PR to help launch a new tourist attraction, creating a tech-savvy trade show booth for the mid-Atlantic dairy industry, and using experiential marketing to change the way people think about dairy farmers.
In addition to being a generally fun category to work with, dairy marketing also has other perks. For example, our refrigerator almost always contains a bountiful selection of cheese, ice cream, yogurt and milk. But it’s also rewarding because the people at the heart of the dairy industry – the dairy farmers themselves – are some of the nicest, hardest-working people in the world.
Above is a short video that summarizes our dairy experiences over the past 12 months or so. Watching it reminds us just how fun these campaigns really were. It also reminds us that there are two full containers of Rocky Road in our freezer. Feel free to watch the video while we take an ice cream break.
MARKETING LESSON: Find joy in the work that you do, and take time to reflect on it. It’ll inspire you, motivate you, and, in some cases, make you hungry.
